Houston's legendary motocross park. Natural-terrain Day track + lighted Night Supercross + Peewee + Pit Bike + 4 miles of harescramble trails.
What riders find
Rio Bravo MX is Houston's legendary in-city motocross park, and the in-city part matters. Most big American metros pushed their motocross tracks out to the suburbs decades ago as growth made noise and dust unwelcome. Rio Bravo held on. It is still inside the Houston market, still reachable without an hour's drive each way, and that location is a big part of its identity.
The track lineup is unusually deep for one property: a natural-terrain Day track, a lighted Night Supercross track, a Peewee track, a Pit Bike track, and four miles of hare scramble trails. Most regional parks run one or two tracks; five-plus track types on a single Houston property is rare anywhere in American motocross.
The Night Supercross track is what makes Rio Bravo distinctive. Riding under the lights after work and still making it home for dinner is a genuinely Houston value proposition, and the lit night format has built the park a loyal weekday-night crowd. The hare scramble trails add four miles of natural terrain with their own dedicated use, giving trail riders real infrastructure and families a reason to stay the whole weekend.
The park runs Wednesday, Friday, and weekends. Call the hotline before driving, because Houston weather closes the gate: Gulf Coast humidity, summer afternoon thunderstorms, and the occasional tropical system are all part of the calendar. The gate takes cash, credit card, or PayPal.
Rio Bravo sits north of Lake Houston off the Parkway, in the northeast corner of the metro, about 30 minutes from downtown and 20 minutes from The Woodlands, with the Beltway putting most of the Houston market within a reasonable drive. In a metro of four-plus million people, motocross parks that survive urban pressure are rare, and Rio Bravo is one of the survivors. Current schedule and hotline at riobravomx.com.
