Nebraska tracks tend to be flatter than what you'll find next door in Iowa or up in South Dakota, and the corn-belt geography means a lot of tracks sit on land that's been in the family for generations. The Nebraska Motorcycle Racing Association runs most of the points calendar and the regulars are tight-knit. Season runs April through October with the same mid-summer slump that hits the rest of the plains states. Tornado weather kills weekends a couple of times each spring. Hardpack riding here teaches throttle control fast: smooth out the inputs or watch the front end push every corner. Fall is the cleanest weather window; mid-September through early October is the best dirt of the year.
