Utah Motocross.

Salt Lake metro is the gravitational center but Utah riding spreads across the Wasatch and out into the desert. Five Mile Pass OHV, Deseret Peak Complex, Iron Mine Race Park out in Cedar City country, Carbon County in Price, Bunker Hill. Most Utah tracks live around 4,500 to 5,500 feet of elevation. Soil mixes hardpack and sandy patches, with a few volcanic-soil tracks that ride loamier than expected. Season runs late April through October at the lower-elevation tracks, narrower up high. The Mountain States series covers the points racing and pulls Idaho, Wyoming, and Colorado riders into Utah weekends. Fall is the cleanest weather window; September through early October is the best dirt of the year. The drives between Wasatch tracks are short by Western standards. The desert tracks south of I-70 are their own universe and locals there tend not to come north much. Goggle tear-offs and a fresh air filter on every ride.
