State-owned MX facility 30 min west of SLC. 4 separate tracks. Tabletops, banked turns. April-November.

What riders find

Jordan River OHV State Park is a state-owned motocross and off-road riding facility in northern Salt Lake County, about 30 minutes west of downtown Salt Lake City, close enough for a quick session from most of the Wasatch Front.

The park runs four kinds of track: two dedicated motocross tracks, dual-purpose OHM/ATV tracks, a novice track, and a grand-prix track. The dedicated novice track is the standout; most state OHV parks make everyone share the same layouts, but here newer riders get their own appropriately sized terrain without dodging faster traffic.

Pricing follows the state-park model: $25 per rider per day, $15 for 50cc riders, with 5-pack passes at $125 for regulars. Utah OHV license and registration are required, standard for state OHV areas.

The season runs April through November, the practical window for a high-elevation Utah park between snowmelt and freeze.

For riders in Salt Lake City, West Valley City, Magna, Bountiful, Layton, Tooele, and along the I-15 / I-80 corridor, Jordan River is the state-managed home track. Ogden riders come south, Utah Valley riders from Provo and Orem run north, and Park City and Wasatch Back riders drive west. Current notes at stateparks.utah.gov.
