Paradox MX (formerly Hickory Hill MX)

Paradox MX is a 67-acre motocross and off-road facility in Granville, New York, out in Washington County near the Vermont line. Formerly Hickory Hill MX, it has been fully modernized under new ownership, a longtime motocross racer and track builder who has put real work into the place.

The track is a loamy, natural-terrain layout that winds around a small on-site lake, built with an amateur-friendly flow that suits beginners, intermediate riders, and youth classes. Recent upgrades include an automatic irrigation system that keeps the dirt watered and prepped, plus more than 1,500 feet of new safety fencing.

Paradox runs seasonally through spring, summer, and fall. A standard race weekend is open practice on Saturday and racing on Sunday, and the track hosts regional points racing across several organizations: AMA District 3 (CNYMRA), New England Motocross (NEMX), and NETRA hare scrambles and GP off-road events. It also brings in pro-level coaching through programs like The Moto Academy, which groups riders safely by experience level.

On fees, open practice runs about $35 a rider. Non-race days have a $5 spectator gate, and race weekends are a $20 gate for the full weekend pass. Riders under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian present at registration to sign the waiver. There is plenty of camping on-site, food concessions on event days, and a kids fishing derby on some family weekends, with gas nearby at the regional Cumberland Farms.
