Jack's Racing MX

Jack's Racing MX Sports Complex is a 280-acre off-road and motocross facility in New Berlin, New York, in the Chenango County hills. Formerly Thunder Ridge Cycle Park, it is under new ownership that has poured real work into the place, with heavily upgraded dirt, modern obstacles, and miles of trail. By all accounts it is in the best shape it has ever been in. The centerpiece is a professionally prepped one-mile motocross track with massive elevation changes, a redesigned starting gate, reworked turns, and a high section built around a big step-up and drop-off. The signature obstacle is the "Cobra" step-up, reserved for Pro and A-class riders. Beyond the main track there is a dedicated pit bike track for younger riders and a sprawling hare scramble and cross-country system that runs anywhere from two to six-plus miles through the woods and open fields, groomed for off-road events. Dirt bikes, ATVs, and quads are all part of the program. The complex runs races and open practice from April through October, with events tied to the major regional organizations: CNYMRA, AMA District 3 amateur motocross, AHRMA vintage racing, and the WNYOA and NEXC cross-country and hare scramble series. There are wide-open fields for spectators, free primitive camping on-site, and the supporting infrastructure for large events. One note for families: riders under 18 need a completed double-sided minor waiver and a legal guardian form to ride.
