Moto 1 Long Island

Moto 1 Long Island is a private motorsports club in Calverton, New York, one of the last remaining motorsports parks on Long Island. The club rides a 13-acre park of trees, ponds and manicured grounds on Edwards Avenue in the fishtail of the island, with three tracks for dirt bikes, quads and ATVs: the main motocross track, a pee wee track for the little bikes and an enduro loop. Memberships are nearly sold out for 2026, with a few annual spots and a limited number of day memberships available, so call Marc at 516-384-4693 or email through the website before you show up.

It is open seven days a week, weather permitting, on seasonal hours. Summer (May 16 to September 15) runs weekends 10 AM to 7 PM and weekdays 11 to 7; spring (March 16 to May 15) and fall (September 16 to November 6) close at 6; winter (November 7 to March 15) closes at 5. Every rider signs the club's Smartwaiver online before riding. Helmets, boots and gloves are required for everyone, chest protectors for riders under 18, minors ride with a parent or guardian, and every bike and ATV needs an approved muffler, because loud or unbaffled machines are turned away. Riders under the influence of drugs or alcohol are refused.

Getting there from the west: Long Island Expressway to exit 71, left at the light onto Edwards Avenue, then 1.5 miles north over the railroad tracks and past Calverton Links; the park is on the left just after Mil-Ridge Farms, across from the blue awning with the antenna on top. From the east and the Orient ferry: Route 25 west to Route 48 west, which becomes Sound Avenue, then left onto Edwards Avenue and about 1.5 miles south, just past FedEx on the right.
