High Voltage Hills MX

High Voltage Hills MX is a motocross track in Greig, New York, up in the Lewis County hill country on the edge of the Adirondacks. Built on former farmland, it is a physical, technical layout: tight turns, big jumps, and almost no long straightaways, so it rewards corner speed and bike control over flat-out horsepower. The dirt is soft and sandy and runs through a forested setting, with deep sand sections, punishing ruts, and aggressive elevation changes that get gnarlier as the day goes on.

One of the newer tracks in the region, High Voltage Hills is a staple of AMA District 3 and CNYMRA racing and has hosted high-profile events including the New York State Motocross Championship and the Battle of NY Series. Event weekends run a deep class list, from 50cc youth and schoolboy classes up through Collegeboy, the Vet ranks (25+, 30+, 40+, 50+), and Quad/ATV.

The property does not shut down for winter. When the snow flies it turns into a cold-weather racing hub for snocross and Adirondack cross-country snowmobile racing, which makes it a true four-season venue.

You can stay the weekend: there is primitive camping with showers on-site, plus cabins next to the track. Open fires directly on the grass are not allowed, but contained fires are fine. High Voltage Hills pulls riders from Lowville, Lyons Falls, and Boonville, and from the Watertown, Utica, and Syracuse areas.
