Valley Raceway

Valley Raceway in Crystal Falls is one of the premier motocross and off-road racing destinations in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, set on the Uren family's 300 acre farm and host to AMA District 16 racing for more than 25 years. The main course is a national style sand track of roughly a mile, with lap times just under two minutes for A riders, and it works you the whole way around: deep sandy ruts, intense elevation changes, natural terrain jumps, and wide tabletops on a surface the crew preps meticulously. A separate lighted night track handles night riding and youth programs, and the surrounding farm hosts multi mile hare scramble and grand prix events. Valley Raceway also anchors the Superior MX Series, the AMA-sanctioned championship linking the U.P. and northern Wisconsin, with marquee dates like the Crystal Clash, the U.P. 2-Stroke Championship, and the AMA U.P. State Championship drawing 300 to 500 entries a round. The operation is event driven rather than daily practice: on race weekends the gates open Friday at noon and 6 AM Saturday and Sunday (Central time), spectator admission runs $10 a day, race entries about $35 a class, and both AMA and District 16 memberships must be purchased online before official race weekends. Primitive camping is $20 a night with electric hookups $20 more. Grandma Belle's Cook Shack serves hot track food all weekend, water fill stations sit right by the start line, and Northwoods Motorsports sells parts, tires, and race fuel trackside. Pit bikes are prohibited anywhere on the property, and dogs are welcome on a leash.
