Milan MX in Milan, Michigan is back, racing on the historic Milan Dragway grounds where motorsports have run since the 1970s, with night races returning for 2026 and packed gates expected. Formerly known as Milan Cycle City, the track's return is a real moment for southeast Michigan moto.

The dragway property has carried motocross across multiple decades, with the moto program's fortunes tied to the broader dragway over the years. Plenty of area riders grew up racing here, which is why the comeback matters locally.

Milan runs in the AMA District 12 Battle of the Border Night Series, which pulls riders from both sides of the Michigan-Ohio line, plus the Stateline Championship Series for more points racing. The location near the Ohio border makes those cross-state series a natural fit, and the track serves northwest Ohio riders as much as Michigan ones.

For riders in Washtenaw and Monroe counties and southeast Michigan (Milan, Ann Arbor, Saline, Dexter, Monroe, Ypsilanti, and the US-23 and I-94 corridors), Milan MX is the heritage track back in action. The 2026 season also settles the name question for good. The facility that ran recently as Twisted MX has transitioned to new administration and officially rebranded as Milan MX, fully operational on the dragway grounds. The riding surface is the draw it has always been: loamy, sandy dirt over a firm base that takes water well and builds real lines. Racing carries AMA District 14 and District 12 sanctioning, and doubleheader weekends mix Friday night Battle of the Border matchups with Sunday D12 Stateline Series points races. Open practice runs Wednesdays and Fridays from 3 to 8 PM and Sundays 10 to 4 when racing is not on the card.
