Dream MX (Area 50 MX)

Dream MX (also called Area 50 MX) in Brown City, Michigan sits on the historic Cargill Road property that was once home to Freelin MX, a name that still means something in Michigan moto. New ownership has stepped in to bring the location back, dedicated to making it bigger and better than the original.

The Freelin history matters to riders who raced here. The property was a known regional destination during its original run, and that reputation carries into the revival. The new owners are putting real work into the dirt, the prep, and the overall quality rather than just reopening the gate, the kind of investment that separates a true revival from a name grab.

The eastern Michigan Thumb has very few dedicated motocross tracks, and Dream MX fills a gap that Sanilac, Lapeer, and Tuscola County riders have felt since the original Freelin days ended.

For riders in Sanilac County and the Thumb (Brown City, Marlette, Sandusky, Lapeer, Caro, Imlay City, and the Highway 53 and Highway 90 corridors), Dream MX is the local revival. Detroit metro riders come north to ride the old Cargill Road property, Flint riders head east, and Saginaw and Tri-Cities riders drop south.
