Bulldog M/C

Bulldog M/C is a member-run motocross club in Millington, Michigan, on N Belsay Road a few miles from town, 20 minutes from Birch Run and a little over half an hour from Flint. The club has been operating since 1948, and District 14 riders know the place by its nickname: the Southwick of Michigan.

The nickname is earned. The main track is almost all sand, and it changes every lap. Ruts get deeper, bumps get bigger, and the layout itself gets reworked and improved between events, so the track you raced last time is not the track you will race next time. There are no doubles anywhere on the course, which lets kids, vintage racers on old suspension and fast experts all go hard on the same layout, and the track follows the natural flow of the land rather than fighting it. A separate mini track handles the 50cc, 65cc and 85cc classes.

Bulldog is a race venue first. The club runs a handful of AMA District 14 dates each year (four in 2026), and it still runs a split program while most of D-14 has gone to straight programs: the AM program starts at 9 AM with the mini and youth classes plus the age classes, and the PM program starts no earlier than 1:30 PM with the B, C and open classes. Race day sign-up is available online, and you need current AMA and District 14 cards to race. Entries are $40 per class on the main track with the transponder included, and $30 per class on the mini track. Gate admission is $10 per person on race days, with non-racing kids 8 and under free. For the spring and fall races the gates open at 4 PM Saturday for camping at $10 per vehicle.

Open practice happens only on posted dates, at $35 for the main track or $30 for the mini track plus a $5 gate fee. Parking is tight, so follow the parking attendant and park close to your neighbor. Between motos the family has Frankenmuth and the Birch Run outlets a short drive away.
