What riders find
Iron City Motorsports Park sits just off I-85 in Blacksburg, right on the South Carolina and North Carolina line, and it has been groomed and irrigated since it opened in 2006. The main track runs about 1.4 miles through grassy, rolling hills with real elevation change, built on a loam, clay, and sawdust base that holds moisture and stays tacky.
It is a traditional outdoor layout: tabletops, step-ups, off-cambers, and plenty of up-and-down. There is also a supercross track for the technical stuff and a go-kart track on the property.
Open Friday and Saturday, 10am to 3pm. Twenty dollars per rider per day, no membership and no gate fee. Concessions, restrooms, and showers are on site.
Easy to reach off I-85, Iron City pulls riders from both the Upstate SC side and the Charlotte and western NC side of the line.
