Lost Valley Motorsports Park

Lost Valley Motorsports Park, known around here as Lost Valley MX, is one of the few North Carolina facilities that runs both a motocross track and a serious woods course and actually opens the gates to the public. The MX side is a real track: technical jump sections, tabletops, and sweeping dirt corners. But the standout for a lot of riders is the woods. Lost Valley's trail system is built like a hare scramble, with tight tree sections, roots, elevation, and muddy ruts that wear on your technical endurance lap after lap.

The main loop runs advanced obstacles tuned for race pace, while youth and kids' riding is welcome too. That cross-country pedigree is no accident, Lost Valley is a cornerstone of the North Carolina Hare Scramble Association (NCHSA) circuit and regularly hosts championship rounds, including Round 1 of the NCHSA series, pulling cross-country and enduro racers from across the region. What makes it rare is the access: most NCHSA courses are private and locked down outside race weekends, but Lost Valley shifts into a public-use facility for scheduled open practices.

There is no static daily schedule, they run select open-ride weekends and race dates, with gate and track status posted on their Facebook page. On site you will find basic restrooms and a roomy dirt parking area that handles trucks and toy haulers.

The lines here are worn in like a local's handwriting, easy to read once you have followed them a lap or two.
