Elevation Motocross

Elevation Motocross, also known as Elevation MX, is a family-owned dirt bike track set in the rolling hills of Brasstown, North Carolina, tucked into the mountains of Western NC near Murphy. It draws riders from across the Southern Appalachians, Asheville, Knoxville, and North Georgia, and it has built a reputation for a scenic setting, a relaxed atmosphere, and friendly ownership. True to the name, the outdoor track uses the mountain terrain to its advantage, with natural hills, steep elevation drops, and banked corners. The dirt is a maintained loam-and-clay blend, rocky red clay in spots, that hooks up with great traction once it is watered, and the layout strings together safe but thrilling tabletops, step-ups, flowing berms, and rhythm sections built to develop speed and stamina. Practice sessions are often split by skill level, age, or bike displacement so beginners and faster expert riders stay safely separated on the course. The premium design and technical sections make Elevation a regular host for professional training. Elite organizations like The MX Factory run technique clinics here, covering body mechanics, throttle control, and high-speed corner entry, and the course welcomes everything from pit bikes to pro quads across organized practice and race classes. The park opens for public riding on Sundays from 10am to 2pm (hours can shift an hour earlier in peak summer), while Saturdays are reserved for grooming and private maintenance. Standard gate access is $30 per rider for the day. Flat, grassy parking allows overnight dry RV and trailer boondocking during major event weekends, and there are permanent on-site restrooms.
