Halfmoon Motocross Park

Halfmoon Motocross Park is an outdoor motocross track in Jacksonville, in coastal Onslow County, North Carolina, a few minutes from Camp Lejeune. The layout runs about a mile over a sand-and-clay mix that grooms up tacky and stays fun without beating you up, which is why it reads as beginner-friendly while still keeping faster riders honest. Lights ring the property, so night practice and racing under the lights are part of the deal here.

Halfmoon is a home venue for the Coastal Carolina Motocross (CCMX) series, which runs select Saturday nights. On a typical race day sign-ups open around 3:00 PM, practice rolls at 4:00 PM, and racing fires off around 6:00 PM. The race-day gate is about $10 with class entry running $35 to $40, and vendors like Fat Daddy Concession and Road Trip Kitchen set up so spectators can grab dinner trackside. For open ride days the gate is rider-friendly at $15 a rider, $10 for ages 12 and under, and four-wheelers are welcome alongside dirt bikes.

The pits sit on parking built to handle big trailers and toy haulers, with an accessible entrance and on-site restrooms. Pit riding is not allowed, but bicycles and golf carts are fine for getting around the grounds.
