What riders find
Wild Mines Motocross, also known as WMMX-TN, is a highly rated, family-friendly off-road complex on a scenic 150-acre property in Sweetwater, Tennessee, and it stands out as the only dedicated motocross practice facility in the East Tennessee region. The property packs three distinct riding environments so every style and age has somewhere to ride.
The main motocross track is a meticulously maintained one-mile circuit built on loose, premium loam with almost no hardpack or rocks. It runs sweeping turns, rolling whoops, and a mix of small and large jumps that work for every skill level. A completely separate beginner track gives the youngest riders on 50cc and 65cc minis or small electric bikes a safe place to learn away from the faster traffic. And a roughly five-mile wooded trail loop adds natural dirt paths, forested singletrack, and a handful of fun hill climbs.
A few rules keep it safe and running smoothly. The motocross tracks are strictly dirt bikes only; the trail loop is open to dirt bikes and traditional four-wheeler ATVs, but no side-by-sides, Jeeps, or off-road trucks anywhere on the property. Full gear is required: helmet, off-road boots (no lace-ups), goggles, a long-sleeve jersey, heavy pants, and gloves.
WMMX is a Saturday-only venue. Gates open around 8 or 9am and practice wraps by 2 or 3pm, with no night riding and no weekday hours. Bring cash, the gate does not take cards or digital payments: $40 per rider for the main track and trails, $30 for the beginner track, and $5 for adult spectators 12 and up (kids 11 and under are free). Riders 17 and under need a parent or guardian present to sign the minor release waiver. There are permanent restrooms, occasional food trucks, and plenty of parking, but no camping on site. Because ride days hinge on the weather, check the WMMX Instagram (@wmmxtrack) or Facebook before you load up.
