Turkey Creek MX

Turkey Creek MX is a family-friendly motocross practice and racing track set in the quiet, rural country around Edgefield, South Carolina, and riders rave about the prep, the layout, and the staff who keep it dialed. The main track is a 1-3/8 mile natural-terrain course on intermediate-to-hardpack clay cut with sand, rutted up with real traction, off-camber turns, a steep pop-up, a 115-foot step-up triple, and a handful of 70-foot doubles. It rides best for intermediate and advanced riders, but there is a completely separate pee-wee and beginner track so first-timers and kids can learn away from the fast traffic, plus a TT and scrambles section with low, easy gaps for casual laps and special events.

The crew waters and fresh-tills throughout riding hours to keep the dust down and the traction up, and both dirt bikes and ATVs are welcome. Open practice generally runs Saturdays and Sundays from 10am until dark, but because Turkey Creek hosts regional racing like the SCMX Summer Series and occasionally closes for track rebuilds, it is strictly a call-before-you-haul deal, check the Turkey Creek Motocross Facebook page for real-time weekend updates. On site you will find bleacher seating, a permanent restroom, concessions during big events, and free dry camping on Saturday nights of race weekends.
