Miles Mountain MX

Miles Mountain MX ceased operations after the 2022 season, when the family that built and ran it for 18 summers announced they were stepping away to spend more time with their growing kids. No reopening has been announced, and the track is not open for riding or events. In its day, Miles Mountain was one of the most complete powersports facilities on Pennsylvania's northern border. The sprawling mountain footprint in Tioga County held a 1.5-mile natural-terrain main track cut into rich, loamy topsoil with up to 375 feet of vertical change, technical downhill sweeps, steep uphill ledge jumps, and tabletops stretching to 100 feet. A separate lighted supercross track ran night practice under floodlights, more than 6.5 miles of marked woods trails served hare scramble riders, and a dedicated freestyle course with steel ramps rounded out the property. The track's signature weekend was the Labor Day North and South Shootout, which drew over 1,000 riders from across the Northeast and Canada for multi-class championship racing and a weekend-long camping festival, and the park was a recurring host for regional series racing. Hillside spectator bleachers, unrestricted pit camping on race weekends, and more than a mile of trout-stocked riverfront made it a genuine destination, with the front gate sitting just behind the Elkland Dollar General. For Twin Tiers riders from Corning, Elmira, Wellsboro, and Mansfield, its closure left a real gap in the region's riding options.
