Rocket MX

Rocket MX in Three Springs is a Central Pennsylvania motocross track with two courses: a one mile pro and intermediate track and a separate beginner and kids track. It is the riding side of the Rocket MX & Outdoor Entertainment Complex on Starr Road in Huntingdon County.

The main track is one mile of fast sweeping corners, jumps and elevation changes, a quick course that challenges rookies and A riders alike and is easy to watch from the spectator side. The beginner track is built for 50cc riders and anyone just getting started, with its own elevation changes and a few table tops so little riders can get some air away from the fast traffic.

Practice runs Saturday and Sunday from 10 AM to 4 PM, and quads are welcome the last Sunday of every month. It is $50 per bike with no gate fee on practice days, spectators are free, and the track is cash only. Race weekends carry a $15 gate fee, with race-day pricing set by the series promoter. Riders sign the track's release, which requires a DOT or Snell certified helmet, and riders under 18 need a parent or guardian signature. Private facility rentals are available by calling the track.

The 2026 race calendar includes Appalachian Outlaw Motocross Series (AoMX) rounds, an AHRMA vintage weekend, Masters MX, and the Halloween Ride the Rocket on October 31, with open practice the day before every race.

Camping is free on practice weekends, with plenty of primitive RV and tent space. There are no hookups yet, though the track says upgrades are planned. Hotels and B&Bs are within about 30 minutes, with more options in Breezewood, and Lake Raystown is about 30 minutes away if you want to stretch the trip. Hauling an RV or big trailer from the PA Turnpike at Fort Littleton? The track says to ignore the GPS shortcut onto Cole Road after Keller's Country Store and continue straight to North Clear Ridge Road in Hustontown.

The place started as Rocket Raceway, built by the Carlton family for their son, and later ran under other owners and names, most recently MX23 Unleashed. The Noll family, longtime Rocket regulars who ran the annual Jr's Ride the Rocket event, bought the track and brought back the Rocket name. Call (717) 371-6750 or check rocketmxpa.com before you haul.
