Route 62 MX Park

Route 62 MX Park in Martinsburg, Ohio is a year-round motocross facility, and in Ohio that phrase means something. The property runs a 1.3-mile outdoor main track, an outdoor supercross layout, an outdoor peewee track, and the piece that changes everything: a heated indoor winter track.

The indoor track is the answer to Ohio's October-to-March problem. Most tracks in the state go dark for five or six months when outdoor dirt becomes unrideable; Route 62 keeps running through the cold, and the winter indoor series pulls 800-plus entries per event, participation numbers most outdoor race days never see.

There is a fun cultural footnote too: the track layouts have been replicated in the MX Bikes video game, so plenty of riders have lapped Route 62 virtually before ever loading the truck.

Hours are Wednesday and Thursday 4pm to dark, Saturday and Sunday 11am to 4pm. The weekday evening windows cover after-work and after-school sessions, and the weekend daytime hours carry the family riding.

The park sits in Knox County in central Ohio, between Columbus and Wheeling. Riders in Martinsburg, Mount Vernon, Newark, Coshocton, Mansfield, Zanesville, and along the US-62 and I-71 corridors have it as the local year-round option. Columbus riders head east for the winter indoor sessions, and Wheeling-area riders in West Virginia come west for the same reason.
