Pine Lake Raceway

Pine Lake Raceway and Trails is a 150-acre off-road motorsports institution on Maple Road in Jefferson, Ohio, running continuously since 1969 and revered as the home of America's oldest annual ATV race. For dirt bikes, quads, and off-road vehicles across northeast Ohio, this is hallowed ground.

The property splits into five distinct riding zones. A motocross track built for all skill levels and a dedicated GP track handle the race-style riding. The fast flat track is the crown jewel, famous for premier TT scrambles and known around the country as the Daytona of ATV TT racing. Miles of marked, color-coded, difficulty-rated woods trails wind through the acreage, from tight single-track to steep hill climbs and wider ATV loops, and a technical obstacle course with recreational mud holes rounds out the property.

Public practice and trail riding run weekends only, Saturday and Sunday from 8am to 6pm, with the gates closed Monday through Friday. Operations shift during big race weekends and severe weather, so check the Pine Lake Raceway Facebook page before making a long haul.

The race calendar is the deepest in the region: historic flagship events like the Quad Nationals, New England Extreme Dirt Track TT rounds, and EROC hare scramble rounds all pass through, and the Champions' Pullin' for Children truck and tractor pulls pack the place for a cause, raising money for Shriners Children's hospitals.

A large, flat dry camping area fills up on multi-day race weekends, with primitive vehicle and trailer camping welcome. ADA-accessible parking and entrances and public restrooms are maintained on the grounds.

Just off the freeway in Ashtabula County, Pine Lake is an easy run from Cleveland, Youngstown, and Erie, and close enough to the county's wineries that the non-riders in the family have options too.
