Doug Dunaway Memorial Motocross/ATV Park

The Doug Dunaway Memorial Motocross/ATV Park, The Doug to locals, is a free public riding park on Willow Lane in Harrison, Ohio, along the Whitewater River on the Indiana line about 25 minutes northwest of Cincinnati. It is owned and operated by the City of Harrison, and that makes it a rare thing in Ohio motocross: no gate fee, no riding fee and no permit, just show up on an open day and ride.

There are two tracks. The adult track is a one-way natural-terrain loop for dirt bikes and quads, groomed by city staff and volunteers with bypass lanes around the jumps so newer riders can skip them, and a separate, smaller junior track keeps young and beginning riders off the main loop. Side-by-sides, trucks and Jeeps stay out. The park is open Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday from 9 AM to 8 PM or dusk and closed the other three days, with the city inspecting the track before opening and keeping the gate shut after heavy rain. The 2026 season closes Sunday, December 6 and the park reopens in spring once the ground firms up. Riders post open or closed calls and conditions in the Doug Dunaway Facebook group, so check there before you drive.

Parking rules are enforced: trailers park inside the designated lots, never along Willow Lane, where cars are towed at the owner's expense, and unlicensed machines stay inside the marked property line.
