What riders find
Fly MX Park is a 3/4-mile loamy motocross and dirt bike track at 34322 State Route 7 in Sardis, Ohio, just north of Fly along the scenic Ohio River. The track is popular for open practice and also hosts Big Guy's MX School for rider training. It sits 5 miles south of Sardis or 1 mile north of Fly on State Route 7.
Finding the track: GPS and mapping apps struggle to locate it, so use these landmarks. Coming from the north (New Martinsville, WV), cross the New Martinsville bridge and drive 9.5 miles south on Ohio State Route 7; the large Fly MX Park sign is on your left. Coming from the south (Marietta, OH), drive 33 miles north on State Route 7 from the I-77 and State Route 7 intersection; the sign is on your right. The entrance is on the eastern side of the highway, facing the river.
The dirt is the draw here. The three-quarter-mile track sits on Ohio River bottom land, so the soil is deep, dark loam that holds moisture, kills dust, and hooks up lap after lap. The layout mixes tight turns and rhythm sections with doubles, triples, tabletops, and big-air jumps built for handlebar-to-handlebar racing, and unlike most tracks it welcomes quads alongside dirt bikes. The park is owned and operated by local racing legend Guy Longwell, who also runs Big Guy's MX School on site, with structured rider training on select dates. Bleacher seating is limited, so bring lawn chairs and set up along the grassy perimeter, where the view over the Ohio River is part of the show. Finding it is easy: 9.5 miles south of the New Martinsville bridge on State Route 7, or 33 miles north of Marietta, and watch for the big Fly MX Park sign.
