Cal City MX Park is the High Desert's go-to, a 1.3-mile main loop with the kind of ruts and rhythm sections you remember on the drive home. Owners John and Inge Elmes have been running it since 2005, with free overnight camping outside the fence, $5 water fill-ups, and tri-tip on the BBQ during race weekends. Two tracks (Main + Pee-Wee), sand/clay/decomposed granite mix, Saturday and Sunday practice at $40 a rider. Two hours up from the LA basin.
