Jewell Motocross closed permanently in February 2026, when track management announced the property had been sold and the new landowners stated they have no interest in running a motorsports facility. The track is not open for riding.
The closure ended a Front Range institution. The facility operated for decades as the iconic Watkins MX, established in 1991 just east of Aurora, before being revived and completely overhauled under the Jewell Motocross name. In its final form it ran four tracks (a pro track, intermediate, pit bike layout, and pee-wee course) with cheap day passes that made it one of the most accessible gates in the Denver metro.
