Leadville Motocross Park

Leadville Motocross Park is the highest motocross track in North America, and likely the world, sitting above 10,000 feet in the mountains outside Leadville. Ringed by Colorado's tallest peaks, the seasonal high-country layout runs on natural soil and doubles as the ultimate altitude-conditioning trackday: every moto here is a lungbuster. The park is maintained by a group of volunteers and runs a simple seasonal schedule: Saturdays and Sundays from 10am to 4pm plus most Thursdays, with a $30 day pass purchased online ahead of time and a Colorado OHV sticker required for entry. For riders in Leadville, Buena Vista, Salida, and Summit County, it is the hometown gate, and Front Range riders make the drive up for the novelty and the training effect of racing at twice a sea-level track's elevation.
