IMI Motorsports Complex

IMI Motorsports Complex in Dacono, Colorado is a multi-discipline motorsports park on Summit Boulevard just off I-25, about 30 minutes north of Denver in Weld County. The dirt bike draw is the Pro MX track, a professional motocross layout that has hosted Rocky Mountain Riders Association championship racing, and the crew preps and waters it for the weekends and posts the condition on Facebook. Two more dirt tracks give ATVs, side-by-sides and other off-road vehicles room of their own, and a one-mile asphalt road course rotates between race karts, supermoto and minimoto bikes and drift cars.

Riding the motocross or off-road dirt tracks is $30 a day, or $700 for a yearly dirt pass good for a year from purchase. The asphalt track is $50 a day for motorcycles and karts, $100 for drift cars or $750 for a yearly pass, and IMI runs what it calls the fastest race kart rentals in Colorado at $50 for a 15-minute session or $85 for two. Posted hours are 10 AM to dusk on weekdays and 9 AM to dusk on Saturday and Sunday, weather permitting.

The rest of the property keeps the family busy: a 1/5-mile dirt oval that hosts flat track racing for motorcycles, quads and karts, a 1/8-mile concrete quarter midget track for the youngest racers, and group packages for corporate events and birthday parties.
