Lake Havasu Motocros...

Full-time lighted desert motocross park in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, also known as 928MX. A man-made main track plus a Peewee track, underground sprinklers for prime dirt, and night riding. Beginner and youth friendly, open October through May.

What riders find

Lake Havasu Motocross Park, also known as the 928MX track, is a full-time, lighted desert motocross facility in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, sitting around 950 to 975 feet of elevation. It is a man-made layout with a main outdoor motocross track plus a separate Peewee track for the little bikes, and the place is set up for serious dirt prep: an underground sprinkler system keeps the soil moist and the dust down, and the track runs under lights for night riding.

The flow is built for amateurs, novices, and youth, though intermediate riders use it for training too, and the hazards are clearly marked. This is a two-wheel track first: dirt bikes are the focus, full-size and adult quads or ATVs are not allowed on the motocross track, and only youth quads (50cc and 90cc) can ride. Spark arrestors and whip flags are not required, but a helmet and goggles are, and riders are encouraged to bring medical insurance info.

Because of the Arizona summer heat, the park runs seasonally, October 1 through May 31, and shuts down entirely for the summer. Open practice is usually select Friday or Saturday evenings, roughly 5 to 10 PM, with some Wednesday sessions, but the schedule moves with race weekends, so call before you haul at (928) 727-6851. Overnight parking and camping are not allowed at the gate on normal practice days; camping opens only during major multi-day sanctioned race events.
