What riders find

ET Motopark and the Arizona Speedway complex closed permanently in early 2022 after the Arizona State Land Department's special land use permit expired and the surrounding land was slated for development. The track is no longer open for riding.

ET Motopark was a motocross park in the Queen Creek and San Tan Valley area of Arizona, in the east Phoenix Valley. It closed permanently on April 4, 2021, and is no longer open. The facility sat on state land, and the Arizona State Land Department declined to renew its land-use permit as housing development spread across the area, ruling that a high-decibel motorsports park no longer fit the residential zoning plans. Despite petitions and pushback from the local racing community, the negotiations failed and the owner was forced to shut down.

When it ran, ET Motopark was a large multi-discipline venue. The motocross side offered a 1.5-mile main track built for high-speed riding, a vet and quad track with wide corners, and a peewee course for young children. Bright stadium lighting opened up night practice, and the starts ran off concrete starting gates. The adjacent Arizona Speedway, a high-banked 3/8-mile dirt oval, drew big Saturday night crowds for ASCS sprint cars, IMCA modifieds, and late models, and the property also hosted demolition derbies, sand drags, and mud-bog events.

ET Motopark is now closed for good. Riders in Pinal County and the east Phoenix Valley looking for motocross will need to look elsewhere in Arizona, such as tracks around Casa Grande, Peoria, and Buckeye.
