Possum Hollow MX Park

Possum Hollow MX Park is a dirt-bikes-only motocross park on 35 scenic acres in Everton, deep in southwest Missouri's Ozark country. The park has been riding since 1977 and has built a reputation across the region for a family-friendly layout, a little nostalgia, and some of the best dirt prep around. The main track runs roughly 1.25 miles with real natural elevation and a flowing, rider-friendly layout that laps in a little over two minutes, and it rewards beginners and pro-level racers alike. This is a bikes-only property: quads and ATVs are not allowed.

Prep is the whole philosophy here. The owners never run unprepped days. Possum Hollow only opens on specific scheduled dates, after the dirt has been freshly watered, disked, and groomed, so when you show up the track is ready. Because of that, dates move with the weather. Always check the Possum Hollow MX Facebook page for posted open days before you load up. If nothing is posted, there is no open day.

The property is set up to make a full weekend easy. Primitive camping is allowed on-site, and on standard practice weekends there is usually no extra charge to camp. You will find a mix of open and shaded parking, flushing bathrooms, and portable toilets, and a natural creek runs through the property, a favorite spot for kids to cool off on hot summer ride days. On bigger event weekends, food trucks and on-site concessions like the popular Kowboy Kitchen keep everyone fed.

On fees, practice days typically run $30 a rider and spectators get in free. On race days the gate is usually $10 to $15, with class entry running $25 to $30 ($40 for Pro classes). Racing uses automated transponder timing; your first transponder is free and replacements are $5.

Possum Hollow is a regular host for regional racing, including Missouri Vintage Motocross Series (MOVMX) season openers and rounds and the Route 66 Series. The park also teams up with Fuel Ministry for a well-regarded five-day summer dirt bike camp that mixes pro-level track instruction with classic summer camp amenities, including a pool at the Maranatha Bible camp just down the road.
