Kingsville MX is retiring. After more than 40 years of motocross, the Wohlberg family is closing the chapter with the Official Kingsville MX Retirement Weekend on October 10 and 11, 2026: prepped practice and a Saturday night celebration with free camping, then the Alex Malott and Jody Warne Fallen Riders Memorial Race on Sunday as the final King of KC round. Challenge Trax in Kingsville, Missouri is a one-mile motocross track split into two distinct halves: a tight, jumpy, lighted night section and a natural-terrain day section. Most tracks run one integrated layout; the two-section design here means riders get supercross-style technical work and traditional outdoor character on the same property.

The lighted night section is the practical difference-maker. Friday night races and Tuesday night practices run under the lights, which solves both summer heat and short winter daylight, and the night terrain was built for evening use rather than being a day track ridden in the dark. Sunday practices cover the standard weekend crowd.

The layout opens with a big first left-hand sweep turn that demands commitment and throttle discipline. The track is built for everyone from beginners to pros, and the place stays clean and family-friendly alongside the racing.

Challenge Trax hosts Missouri State MX Championship rounds, so riders chasing state series points have a sanctioned venue with a predictable race-day program.

The track sits in Johnson County just east of Kansas City. Kingsville, Warrensburg, Concordia, Pleasant Hill, Lee's Summit, Independence, and Kansas City proper are all in everyday range along US-50 and I-70.
