Grantsburg MX Track

Grantsburg MX Track is operated by the Straight Arrow Enduro Riders (SAER) club, with an old-school 1.5-mile sand motocross track plus a kids dirt track and 5+ miles of single-track trails on the surrounding property. For local Burnett County and west-central Wisconsin riders, the club is the dedicated regional racing organization.

The sand surface is the property's defining feature. Sand-base motocross is rare in interior Wisconsin, where most regional tracks run loam or clay, which makes Grantsburg a useful training environment for riders preparing for sand-specific national races or destination races at sand venues elsewhere in the country.

Operating structure is club-member-first. Members ride daily; non-members can attend 2-4 AMA/District 23 sanctioned races per year plus announced public practice days. That's the model to understand before driving: this isn't an open-practice facility for drop-in sessions, it's a member club with scheduled public access windows. Check the calendar before making the trip.

For local Grantsburg, Siren, Frederic, Spooner, and broader Burnett County and Polk County riders, the property is the closest dedicated sand-base motocross facility. Twin Cities riders make the trip east for the sand training and the District 23 racing programming.

The Grantsburg location is in northwest Wisconsin near the Minnesota border. The 5+ miles of single-track on the surrounding property opens up cross-discipline use for enduro and woods-bike riders, useful for the local crowd running multiple disciplines.
