Big River Off-Road Park

Big River Off-Road Park is an active, dirt-bike-only riding facility spread across 142 acres of rural land in Hutsonville, Illinois. It is a scenic, multi-discipline property that draws local riders and serves as a regular host for regional cross-country and Grand Prix racing. There is a lot of variety packed into the property. Two dedicated motocross tracks use the natural elevation for distinct jump structures and a mix of sand-to-loam soil. A 4-mile, one-direction woods loop is built for technical cross-country practice and endurance racing. And there are two youth layouts, a dedicated pee-wee motocross track and a youth cross-country turn track, so younger and beginner riders can build skills away from the fast traffic. This is a strict dirt-bikes-only park for open riding. Quads, ATVs, and side-by-sides are not allowed on the tracks or trails on standard open days. The one exception is sanctioned racing: events like the Mid South Cross Country GP series may run specific ATV classes on race weekends. Big River opens on select riding weekends and event dates rather than a daily schedule, and the weather can move things around, so always check the Big River Facebook page for the current calendar, gate times, and any closures before you load up. Helmets are mandatory and a spark arrestor is required. The park is built for making a weekend of it. Day access runs $25 per rider, full RV hookups are $40 per night, and primitive tent or dry camping is $10 per night, with a three-bedroom house on the property available to rent as well. When you need a break from riding, the grounds have several ponds where you can fish and swim during the down-times.
