What riders find
Alma MX Park is a popular, family-friendly motocross practice and racing facility in Alma, Georgia, and riders rate it for having some of the best dirt in South Georgia. The main track is a natural-terrain outdoor course that runs 1 to 1.25 miles on soft, premium clay, and it rides busy: roughly 16 jumps a lap in a mix of doubles, singles, table-tops, step-ups, rolling whoops, and wide, flowing berms that reward riders who link obstacles smoothly. A completely separate beginner and pee-wee track gives new riders and small-displacement bikes a safe place to learn away from the faster traffic, which is what makes Alma such a comfortable fit for beginner and intermediate riders.
The dirt is the draw, and it stays that way because the crew grooms at least once a week and waters regularly to keep the surface soft, smooth, and free of heavy dust. Open practice runs on weekends, typically Saturdays and Sundays from 9 or 10am until dark, at $30 per rider. Everyone entering the gates signs a standard liability waiver, and minors need a parent or guardian on hand to complete a minor release form.
Make a weekend of it. The pits sit in a shaded grassy meadow ringed by trees, a real luxury on a hot Georgia riding day, and there are 12 RV campsites with 30-amp electrical service plus plenty of grassy space for primitive parking. The property also has spectator bleachers and elevated viewpoints for family and friends, a dedicated bike wash station, and restrooms with hot showers. Set in Bacon County near the Florida line, Alma pulls riders from across South Georgia and North Florida chasing clay that grooms up right.
