Scrub'n Dirt MX

Scrub N Dirt MX is a family-run motocross track on Roscoe Davis Road in Monroe, Georgia, about 45 minutes east of Atlanta. Ricky Pataky, a longtime trail rider who raced and coached in New Jersey before moving south, opened it in 2010 with Lori King, who manages the track, on the A Place to Ride property. Ricky still walks the pits coaching throttle control and line choice to anyone who asks, from first-timers to seasoned vets.

The big track is a prepped and watered 1.2-mile layout that runs counterclockwise from the track entrance, with big jumps built safe: mostly tabletops, no big gap jumps, multiple lines and features that change regularly. Practices are split as needed so even 50cc riders get the big track without big bikes on it. For the kids there is a small MX track, a turn track for cornering drills and a Stacyc track for riders coming off training wheels.

The track is open Saturday 9 to 3, Sunday 12 to 4, and Tuesday and Thursday 8 to 1, weather permitting; always call before you haul. Riding is $40 for the big track and $20 for the mini or Stacyc track, cash only with no cards or payment apps, and no refunds or rain checks. Everyone signs in and pays before riding, helmets stay strapped, enter and exit only where marked, and riders under 18 need a parent or legal guardian present or a notarized permission letter. The crew also builds and grades tracks for hire, from backyard loops to full facilities, and the track hosts SEVMX vintage rounds.
