Southern Training Facility & Raceway

Southern Training Facility & Raceway sits on Tallahassee Highway just outside Bainbridge in southwest Georgia, and the pitch is simple: nine separate tracks on one property, open to the public every day from 9 AM to 9 PM.

That track count is the reason to make the drive. Three of the nine are full motocross tracks, a sand track, a pro track and a night track. The sand track was built and designed by Brian Deegan and it sorts riders out fast. Around those sit a supercross track, an arenacross track, a turn track, a hill track, a pitbike track and a flat track, so you can spend a morning drilling starts and corners and an afternoon riding full laps without loading the bike back up.

The soil changes as you move around the property, clay at one end through to deep sand at the other, which is the whole point of a training facility. You get to ride surfaces you would otherwise have to travel for, and the venue puts 100 feet of elevation on its clay national layout.

Riding is pay to ride, bought online before you turn up rather than at a gate. STF also runs an affordable motocross school for all ages and all skill levels. Call Cole for school pricing.

Staying over is easy. The campsites are creek side with full hookups (water, electric and septic), plus a bath house and on site laundry. If camping is not your thing they rent campers, a cabin and a house, and after a hot day of motos the creek is right there.
