Southwest Washington's winter motocross track: Woodland Winter MX Series, Pac West and PNW Vintage rounds. About 25 minutes north of Vancouver, WA.
What riders find
Woodland MX Park in Woodland, Washington is southwest Washington's winter motocross track, a rarity in the Pacific Northwest where most tracks shut down for the rainy season. While the typical PNW track closes from November through March or April, Woodland keeps running, and that makes it the answer for riders trying to stay sharp through the deep Northwest winter. Without it, a lot of regional rider development would simply stall until spring.
The Woodland Winter MX Series is the signature program, real series-format racing on the winter calendar. Riders chasing points through the cold months get a working home venue instead of a long tow to drier country.
The Pacific NW Vintage MX Series also runs rounds here, serving a vintage community that has very few places to race anywhere in the region. Pac West Motocross Series rounds fill out the racing schedule.
For riders in Woodland, Kalama, Castle Rock, Longview, Kelso, and the I-5 corridor, this is the local track. Vancouver riders make the short trip north, and Portland riders cross the state line for the closest dedicated winter motocross on the Washington side. The park sits about 25 minutes north of Vancouver with easy freeway access.
If you are trying to keep training through the off-season in the PNW, Woodland is your answer. woodlandmx.com for the schedule.
