Moto West MX

Moto West MX on SW Old Clifton Road in Port Orchard is Kitsap County, Washington's leading motocross track, the headquarters venue for the Pac West Motocross Racing Series, and historically associated with Ryan Villopoto's training base in the area.

The Villopoto connection says a lot about the place. Villopoto is a multi-time AMA Pro Motocross National Champion and FIM Motocross World Champion, and the Bremerton area is where his training program was based. A track tied to that caliber of rider development is not a casual operation, and the pedigree still shapes how locals see the venue.

As headquarters for the Pac West Motocross Racing Series, Moto West anchors the series calendar and serves as its center of gravity. That means real race-day capability and a steady competition schedule rather than occasional one-off events.

The Kitsap Peninsula has very few dedicated motocross tracks, so Moto West serves as the home venue for the whole peninsula. Riders in Bremerton, Silverdale, Poulsbo, Port Orchard, Belfair, Gig Harbor, and the Highway 3 / Highway 16 corridor are all within everyday reach.

The location also works across the water. Bremerton's ferry routes connect the track to the wider Puget Sound area: Seattle riders come over by ferry, Tacoma riders cross the Narrows, and Olympia riders run north for Pac West race weekends.

HOW PRACTICE RUNS. Gates open at 9 AM and riding is 10 AM to 3 PM at $45 a rider, on the AMATEUR NATIONAL TRACK. Practice is split into 15 minute sessions by group: Fast, Slow, Vet and Kids, so you are not sharing the track with riders at a completely different pace. Non-riding spectators are $10.

RACE WEEKENDS run a longer shape. Gates open Thursday 5 PM to 10 PM, Saturday 6 AM to 10 PM, and from 6 AM on Sunday, with Friday practice 10 AM to 3 PM for $45. Registration is Friday 4:30 to 7 PM, Saturday 6:30 to 8 AM and Sunday 6 to 8:30 AM.

RACE WEEKEND COSTS. Race entry is $45, general admission at the gate is $15 a day, dry camping is $20 a day and camping with RV hookups is $35 a day. A PWPG annual membership is $45.

Riders under 18 need a completed minor release before they go out.
