Moriarty MX

Moriarty MX is New Mexico's largest motocross compound, 28 miles east of Albuquerque off I-40 on Martin Road in Moriarty. Four tracks share the property: the True Light Electric Main, a full-size outdoor motocross track that hosts the race rounds; TLC MX West, the second full-size track, freshly rebuilt in September 2026; the True Light Electric AX/SX track, an arenacross and supercross layout for riders working on race technique; and the High Desert Mini Tracks for the 50s, 65s, Stacycs and pit bikes.

The compound is a race and event venue rather than a daily practice track. It opens for scheduled events only, and the usual shape of a race weekend is Saturday practice from 10 AM to 3 PM, open to all riders whether they are racing or not, followed by race day on Sunday. Racing is the Full Throttle Race Series, Moriarty's own multi-round series that ran nine rounds in 2026 from May through September, plus rounds of the AMA District 45 New Mexico State Championship. Entries are $45 per class through Trackside Pre-Reg, and online registration closes the morning of the race. AMA membership is only required for the state championship rounds. The class list covers everything from Stacyc, Micro-E and 50cc mini classes through 65, 85, Supermini, Girls, Schoolboy, 125, 250 and 450 A/B/C, Vet, Senior, College, Junior, WMX, Surron and pit bike, with a free Patriot class for anyone entering a paid class.

The compound is home turf for a lot of Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Edgewood and Estancia Valley riders, and the two full-size layouts plus the SX track make it the most varied place to race in the state. Trackside scoring results post online after each round.
