DMC Motorsports (Brooks International Raceway)

Brooks International Raceway is the home track of DMC Motorsports, a sand motocross facility on US Highway 59 just north of Brooks, Minnesota, about 19 miles south of Thief River Falls in the Red River Valley. It is the base for the DMC Motocross Championships, the regional series for dirt bikes and quads across northwest Minnesota and eastern North Dakota.

There are three tracks on site. The main track is a full competition-width mile of pure sand, loaded with obstacles that change regularly, and it runs every skill level. The mini track is about a third of a mile of softer sand and black soil with generous width and beginner-friendly corners and jumps, built for kids and riders working on skills. The supercross track is soft terrain with challenging obstacles, restricted to expert riders.

DMC race weekends run Saturday and Sunday at Brooks from May into September, with a few non-points races at Brainerd MX and the Bagley and Beltrami county fairs. Race morning registration runs 7 to 8:30 AM trackside, the riders meeting is at 8:45 and pre-race practice starts at 9, with racing right after. Racers need a DMC competition membership: $75 for the season, which counts toward year-end championship points and a racer profile, or a $20 day pass. Entry is $30 for the first class, $25 for the second, $20 for the third and $10 for the fourth. The class card covers 50s through 450 and Open A, B and C (A classes pay cash), girls, women, juniors, vets and 40+, plus a full quad program from mini quads to Quad A.

Outside race weekends, public open ride days are announced on the DMC Motorsports Facebook page and the website, and the track can be ridden on other days by reservation, so call ahead before you load up. Riders of every age and skill level are welcome, and DMC also offers rider development and skills training.
