Tulsa Motocross (TMX)

Tulsa Motocross (TMX) is an in-city motocross track in Tulsa, Oklahoma, off Mohawk Boulevard, a rarity for a metro this size. Most cities push their tracks out to rural county land; TMX sits inside the city limits, which makes regular practice realistic for local riders without a long haul, and that after-work access changes how often you actually ride.

The property runs two tracks, both lighted for night practice. The 1.5-mile main track handles experienced riders while the second layout gives developing riders their own surface away from full-pace traffic. Both sit on red dirt and sand, classic Oklahoma soil that corners tacky on the red clay sections and drains predictably through the sandy mix.

The lights are the real asset. From June through September, daytime riding in Oklahoma gets brutal, and evening sessions under the lights become the working window for serious practice.

Practice nights and demo rides run through a partnership with Tulsa Powersports, so prospective buyers can try bikes on real practice terrain instead of a parking lot. Primitive camping covers weekend stays, and concessions and restrooms handle the basics on-site.

For Tulsa metro riders, TMX is the close-to-home option. Sand Springs, Sapulpa, Bixby, Broken Arrow, Owasso, Jenks, and Coweta are all within easy reach, and Bartlesville and Muskogee riders make the trip in specifically for the lighted evening sessions.
