GAS MX (Great American Speed)

GAS MX, short for Great American Speed MX, is a well-regarded motocross facility in Watts, Oklahoma, tucked in the northeast corner of the state near the Arkansas border, just minutes south of Siloam Springs. It has a reputation for a family-friendly vibe and seriously good track prep.

The main track is a flowing, dynamic layout with massive berms and clean jump faces, headlined by a big-air triple that gives advanced riders plenty of lift while staying rideable for everyone else. There is a separate kids track for the little ones. The dirt is rich loam that hooks up hard when it is watered and builds deep, challenging ruts as the day goes on.

The park runs mostly on weekends, with hours shifting by season and race schedule: Thursday and Friday 4pm to 9pm (often night practice under the lights), Saturday 10am to 5pm, and Sunday 12pm to 5pm. Because conditions ride on the weather, the owners post rainout and layout updates on the GAS MX Instagram and Facebook before every weekend, so check there before you load up.

Practice is $30 per rider and spectators get in free on standard practice days. GAS MX is also a fixture on the local racing scene, a core host for the Oklahoma MX Series (including major fall rounds) and popular Saturday night races under the lights. On site you will find clean restrooms, RV hookups, and the Twisted Throttle Cafe for concessions. It still rides like a raw venue in the pits, so bring your own shade, generator, water, and pit supplies.
