Legacy Motocross

Legacy Motocross sits on 80 acres outside Sasakwa in Seminole County, central Oklahoma, and the people who built it put more than 85 years of combined riding experience into the layout. It reads like a track designed by riders rather than drawn up by someone guessing.

The main track runs national length with split lanes, which is the detail that makes it work for a mixed group: a quick rider and someone still learning can share the same session without either ruining the other's day. Jumps run from 25 feet out to 110 feet, built with safety in mind rather than to catch people out. Four ponds on the property feed an integrated irrigation system, so the surface gets watered properly instead of being left to blow out.

There is a separate 50cc and Stacyc track, so the smallest riders and the balance bike crowd have somewhere of their own.

Practice weekends run Saturday and Sunday, 10 AM to 4 PM, at $25 a rider, cash or Cash App. Spectating is free. These are the general gate times for scheduled practice weekends rather than a standing weekly opening, so check they are running before you load up. Riding stops at 4 PM unless management extends it.

The park side is genuinely family set up: picnic benches, restrooms, bins, and a playground with a swing set and a trampoline. Camping is $5 a night and they ask that you message ahead so they know you are staying. Pets are welcome on a leash as long as you clean up. If you would rather a bed, the Best Western in Wewoka is the nearest option.

Two things to read before you go. Legacy does NOT carry insurance, so you ride on your own cover, and they say plainly that if you do not have insurance you should not ride. Everyone, riders and spectators, signs a waiver before entering the facility.

Gear minimum to get on the track is a helmet and boots, though the track rules ask for the full kit: helmet, motocross boots, pants and jersey, knee pads, goggles and gloves, with chest protectors and neck braces encouraged. Spectators stay 25 feet back and nobody crosses the track. Pit vehicles are welcome at idle speed, 5 mph, and the ponds have no lifeguard.
