Full Throttle MX Park

Full Throttle MX Park, also known these days as Motosouth MX, is a privately owned motocross facility in Loranger, Louisiana, just outside Hammond on the Northshore. New ownership recently took over the Morris Road grounds, reprepped the tracks, and started rolling the branding toward the Motosouth name, so you will hear locals use both.

The main track runs about a mile of clean, loose dirt with gentle elevation (roughly 40 to 60 feet of change), a full spread of high-banked berms, and a mix of small jumps and a few big ones. It rides best for intermediate riders but keeps plenty of beginner-friendly lines. There is a separate peewee track built just for the kids and first-timers to find their footing, plus a few wooded trail sections around the property for a little off-road variety. The dirt is rock-free with no steep technical hills or water crossings, so the hazards stay low.

It is a dirt-bike facility through and through, and both two-strokes and four-strokes are welcome. Public practice usually runs weekends from 9am to 2pm on the main track and the kids track. Prep and hours ride on the weather, so check the Full Throttle / Motosouth Instagram before you load up.

For riders making a weekend of it, the park has RV pads with electric hookups, on-site camping, permanent restrooms and showers, water fill stations, and concessions. Campfire and night-riding rules can vary with the schedule. The property also sits next to a circle track, a drag strip, and a paintball park if the crew wants something different between motos.
