Kincaid Motocross (Jodphur Road MX Park)

Kincaid Motocross, also known as Jodphur Road Motocross Park, in Anchorage, Alaska is the city's municipal motocross track: an 11-acre closed dirt-and-rock layout with jump berms, maintained by the Anchorage Racing Lions. It is one of the only formal motocross facilities in the entire state, and it has hosted Alaska state championship events across multiple years.

The closed dirt-and-rock construction reflects the reality of building a track in a region where natural soil often can't stand up to sustained motocross use. The jump berms across the layout give riders real obstacle variety, and the state championship history says the track holds up under race conditions.

The Anchorage Racing Lions, the volunteer club behind much of south-central Alaska's motorsports, handle track prep, race organization, and day-to-day upkeep. That club model is what makes Kincaid possible. A commercial motocross track isn't economically viable at Alaska's scale, so the volunteer-supported municipal facility fills the gap.

The schedule is built around Alaska's short riding season. The track runs Wednesday through Sunday, 10am to 8:30pm, April through September, which covers essentially the whole window when outdoor motocross is feasible in south-central Alaska. The long daily hours take advantage of the extended summer daylight at this latitude, with evenings that stretch well past the typical Lower 48 cutoff.

Practice is free. The municipal setup and the volunteer club keep the track open to anyone with proper gear, a mission-driven arrangement rather than a commercial one.
