About the miniXcross

The miniXcross Youth Racing Series is the kids racing series at Metroplex Motocross Park in Fort Worth, Texas, sponsored by NP Racing. It runs eight rounds a season for the youngest racers: 50cc, 65cc, 85cc beginner, pit bike, and Stacyc and Orion electric balance bike classes. Everyone is welcome to race a round, and you do not have to run the full series. Every round is AMA sanctioned, so each rider needs an AMA membership and the 2026 annual release form, and chest and back protection is required for all riders. Entry is $40 per class and $30 for Stacyc. Friday night before a round is camping only: gates open 5 to 10 PM, dry camping is $15, and there is no riding on Friday. Pre-register online through Trackside Pre-Reg, then check in at the tower before racing. Series riders need at least five of the eight rounds to be eligible for overall awards, with a 10 point bonus for perfect attendance. Electric balance bike racers go into a halftime drawing for a Metroplex Big Bear in front of the miniXcross billboard, courtesy of NP Racing. The season wraps with the Turkey Edition finale and awards in November.
