NCSC Little Shredders: Balance Bike and Stacyc Races

The smallest gate drops in New England. NCSC runs its Little Shredders balance bike and Stacyc races at Capeway Rovers in Carver, Massachusetts (the club lists it as Middleborough) on Friday, October 23, 2026, one of two Friday-night dates (October 16 and 23, weather pending). Gates open at 3 PM, racing starts at 5:15, and plaques go five deep in every class. The first round runs 2 to 4 balance bikes, 4 to 7 on 16-inch Stacycs, 4 to 5 and 2 to 3 on 12-inch Stacycs, and 18 and 21-inch Stacycs, followed by two rounds that add 6 to 7 and 4 to 5 on 16-inch, 6 to 10 on 18-inch, 7 to 11 on 21-inch and a 4 to 7 16-inch open class. Gate entry is $20 per person over the age of four. Every Little Shredder wears a full-face helmet and closed-toe shoes, and 2026 requires the double youth waiver. The open ride graphic the club posted alongside covers race days: Strider and balance bikes at the top of each hour from 10 AM, Stacyc ages 2 to 5 at 10:20 and ages 6 to 11 at 10:40, repeating hourly until the 3 PM last rotation, $15 per rider, no Surrons, Talarias or similar e-bikes and no riders over 12 on the track. The club announced the October 16 race is a go.
