What to expect

All riders welcome, lots of contingency. Sunday, October 18, 2026 is the NEMX Fall Series Round 6 make-up race at Capeway Rovers, run with NCSC on the club's 92nd anniversary weekend, on the sand track at 224 Plymouth Street in Carver, Massachusetts. Capeway Rovers MC has raced since 1934, the track has a new layout for 2026, and the club calls it the best expert payout in New England. Sunday sign-up is 7 to 9 AM. Practice runs by group: 65cc; non-race bikes with Mini E Ltd and Mini PW Ltd; 85cc; 50cc; Expert and Amateur (A/B); Vet; then Novice (C). Women practice with the ability level of their bike size, not the vet group unless they are 30 plus, and A/B practice is A/B only. The race order is 50+, Women, Mini PW Ltd, 85 9-11 and 12-15, 450 A-B-C, Girls, 50 Open, 40+ ABC, Micro E Ltd, 65 Open, 250 A-B-C, Supermini, the non-race PW bike class, 30+ AB, 30+ C and 55+, Schoolboy, 50 4-6 and 7-8, Open A-B-C, and 65 7-9 and 10-11. Gate opens Friday from 3 to 9 PM, Saturday from 6:30 AM to 9 PM and Sunday at 6:30 AM. The gate is a $40 wristband per person for the whole weekend (under 4 free; every rider age 4 and up needs one), and riders and spectators wear it all weekend. Sign-ups run Friday night 4 to 6 PM, Saturday after the first half of the races until 5 PM for Sunday's race, and Sunday 7 to 9 AM; wear your wristband to sign up and bring your youth rider with you. Entry is $40 per class, mechanics bands are $5 for the weekend, open riding is $15 per rider on race days, and transponder rentals are $10 a day with a $300 cash or card deposit (clips $10). Friday night also has a Little Shredder race for Stacycs only at 4:15 PM, with sign-up from 3 to 4 PM; full-face helmets and closed shoes are required. Riders new to the club need the yearly parent waiver, notarized; it can be notarized at the track if both parents come with photo IDs. Proof of medical insurance is required, so bring your card to sign-up or you will not ride. There are no pit vehicles of any kind (no pit bikes, golf carts or scooters), so plan to walk, and take your trash home. Tune to 96.5 FM at the track.
