AMA D16 Race (Wisconsin's Southern Cup)

An AMA sanctioned District 16 motocross race, part of Wisconsin's Southern Cup, runs the weekend of July 31 to August 2 at Sugar Maple MX in Hillpoint, Wisconsin. This is a cash only weekend. Friday, July 31 is camping and setup with gates open 5 to 10 PM. Saturday, August 1 is a practice day: gates at 9 AM, split practice 10 AM to 4 PM in 15 minute moto rotations, $40 per class, with no AMA or district card needed for practice (riders skip the Saturday gate fee). Sunday, August 2 is race day: gates at 6 AM, registration 6 to 8 AM with AMA and District 16 cards required, warm ups at 7:30, a mandatory riders meeting at 8:45, and racing at 9. Race entry is $40 per class, with a third class at $20. Per the new AMA rule, all racers must wear chest protection. Gate fee is $10 per person per day and camping is $20 per night per vehicle, above ground fire pits only. Breakfast concessions start Sunday at 6:30 AM. No motorized pit riding, pedal bikes only when racing is not going on.
